Though I put my thoughts to rhyme
Perhaps better would be to mime
But action I fear to do
Lest my fool folly to rue
And comes the day to fear
When dire blackness appear
It all is not to matter
For naught but dust to scatter

To Ponder
Oh aged mind that seeks to ponder
But oft a mind that’s left to wander
Into the abyss of years long past
But there remains the spell that casts
For happenings of old remain in place
And come to fill thy dreaded space
Some thoughts bring regret I cannot shake
As misery and pain still forced to take
Old hurts and wounds will thrive anew
And sometimes I thinks past joys are few
Of wrongs cast upon the ones I care
Once more emerge to enhance despair
Painful solace is slow to come
As hard it is the mind to numb
Possibly to rethink is to exacerbate
For healing process will come but late
For if the deeds been done in past
Are meant to haunt so they must last
Perhaps the pain to stay is just
For warn of new wrongs is a must
But oft a mind that’s left to wander
Into the abyss of years long past
But there remains the spell that casts

Religion and Politics
A candidate has revealed from his past
He says freedom needs religion to last
Oh candidate it seems where you stand
If elected then I must leave the land
What matters you succumb to what is not
As in years past you will maintain the rot
World favor U.S. will not need endure
If it maintains policy and claims to be pure
Tax breaks to religion continue on the dole
From those of us who wish not the toll
And prayers in school you will laud
War to continue, perpetuate the fraud
Religion not a best way, that is sure
For arrogance and bias it will lure
To separates us all it will surely do
As it seeks to glorify just a few
A free land there may still be
But we must pay the political fee
To keep our beliefs and not attempt to sway
And perhaps once we will have freedom's way
If not, then this land must I renounce
More of the same I cannot countenance
Stupidity, lies and malice have ruled the day
For one, I am sick to death of the price we pay
Canada, Sweden, and Demark all stand tall
If freedom's pleasures I seek to install
If need be a new language will I speak
For to breathe free air is what I seek
To escape these leaders with blithering gall
To live in a land no longer to appall
He says freedom needs religion to last
Oh candidate it seems where you stand

A leader not for me
If the years had not so past
With compelling speed not to last
Land of my birth perhaps I'd leave
For no longer a country to believe
God fearing folk now create the stage
And seek America to God engage
I dwell this land I no longer know
Cause red states abide and I am the foe
For church and state seek they combine
And woe to us who not accept divine
Hypocrisy is the reigning force
As seek us down disastrous course
America's leader they seek to choose
And all such as us can only lose
I travel this land no longer sanguine'd
And welcoming not to those of my kind
From other lands I would beckon the call
Canada, Sweden, Denmark again stand tall
To think so well and live with ease
And without concern their God to please
For if evil exists as they have writ
Ti's created by they, the hypocrite
With compelling speed not to last
Land of my birth perhaps I'd leave
For no longer a country to believe
God fearing folk now create the stage
And seek America to God engage
I dwell this land I no longer know
Cause red states abide and I am the foe
For church and state seek they combine

And without concern their God to please
For if evil exists as they have writ
Ti's created by they, the hypocrite
Discovery and Fear
And comes the day no longer there
Clear sounds with only me to hear
Will I regress to a life of haze
Once more the mind a maze
Whence escape not be clear
Ti's most in this world do I fear
For when expressive words abound
Such time with ease can be found
Gainful thoughts with joy sustain
With naught a struggle to maintain
But though word flow be not in line
I seek these thoughts without a fine
For now I know a clarity anew
And no longer fear days to rue
When know myself perhaps at last
And all else may recede to past
Clear sounds with only me to hear
Will I regress to a life of haze
Once more the mind a maze
Whence escape not be clear
Ti's most in this world do I fear
For when expressive words abound
Such time with ease can be found
Gainful thoughts with joy sustain
With naught a struggle to maintain

To Muse
A quiet day without much to say
Words and thoughts come not this day
My mind seems not to focus and fit
So sweet sounds come not to be writ
OH WAIT, emerges something now
A desire once more my brain to plow
OH NEVER MIND, it's gone away
Whatever came would not just stay
Simply now I just quit
And say to all that is it
Words and thoughts come not this day
My mind seems not to focus and fit
So sweet sounds come not to be writ
OH WAIT, emerges something now
A desire once more my brain to plow
OH NEVER MIND, it's gone away
Whatever came would not just stay
Simply now I just quit
And say to all that is it
Love to Know
Oh wondrous lady what a spell you cast
Just a glimmer of you and warmth to last
Your beauty alights thy being as soft light
To render exquisite joy to my mind's sight
And lo an inspiration to the the bards of old
They would sing your praises and truth be told
Content happy me by words I seek to console
Though aged brain contrives to deny the role
It will keep not pleasure and joy to my soul
Through great endeavor happily pay the toll
The fog is gone but perchance just for now
So speak I must for future may not endow
Time and thought and words perhaps not there
Oh short cursed time and thought hard to bear
But my heart is grateful with joy so rare
To be able to find words with none to compare
For in my time I have been given to know
A smile and word that love can bestow
Just a glimmer of you and warmth to last
Your beauty alights thy being as soft light
To render exquisite joy to my mind's sight
And lo an inspiration to the the bards of old

Of Love That Past
I see your face before me now
Oh what happiness just to gaze
Upon such beauty that fate allow
The years gone by but cannot faze
The joy and pleasure but linger still
As past love once more to soar
And emotions hasten my heart to fill
A time respite to haunt no more
Beauty rests lightly upon your being
Your face puts forth a gentle light
And as created, a wonder to be seen
Oh dear lady what wondrous sight
Your voice brings forth sound to thrill
Such sound so sweet that none compare
A haunting sound that lingers still
To instill a feeling that is oh so rare
Oh blessed be an aged mind
With alacrity still to recall
Of days gone by and love to find
Before the end and darkness fall
Your gentle soul is mine to keep
If only in my heart and thought
Such pleasure joy stays mine to reap
And fills my heart with more than sought
Oh what happiness just to gaze
Upon such beauty that fate allow
The years gone by but cannot faze
The joy and pleasure but linger still
As past love once more to soar
And emotions hasten my heart to fill

Love to Splatter
Love may shatter and to splatter
But hasten time and not to matter
Thoughts of new love now may be
To find the one the soul can see
Rapture comes but will not endure
Yet mated souls will find the cure
And when we note a vision shared
Know we then are properly paired
But hasten time and not to matter
Thoughts of new love now may be
To find the one the soul can see
Rapture comes but will not endure
Yet mated souls will find the cure
And when we note a vision shared
Know we then are properly paired
Release
Upon the scene words have burst
As to my soul I quench the thirst
Alas the means of how to say
Things I never thought convey
Words entangle twist and turn
Breach a depth no longer burn
The mind and heart can now be free
Oh tortured one no longer be
Age a passion can bestow
When all else becomes a foe
For now the means to love and feel
Knows no barrier to proper heal
Thoughts to conjure and reflect
Put words to flight for circumspect
Peace within me comes to fore
Contentment brings me to its shore
As to my soul I quench the thirst
Alas the means of how to say
Things I never thought convey
Words entangle twist and turn
Breach a depth no longer burn
The mind and heart can now be free
Oh tortured one no longer be
Age a passion can bestow
When all else becomes a foe
For now the means to love and feel
Knows no barrier to proper heal
Thoughts to conjure and reflect
Put words to flight for circumspect
Peace within me comes to fore
Contentment brings me to its shore
On Memory Loss
It's all there to behold
But if truth be told
All the facts there's to know
Aged mind curtails the flow
No longer do the facts spew out
With rapidity to once more flout
The memory somehow retains it all
But with age no easy task to recall
With thought most stuff comes back
And again memory we no longer lack
That what we think we know
But again the facts may not flow
But if truth be told
All the facts there's to know
Aged mind curtails the flow
No longer do the facts spew out
With rapidity to once more flout

Ode To Reynaud's Phenomenon
There once was guy who got old
Not good but truth be bold
Till he noted his fingers got cold
Reynaud's phenomenon he was told
On old age he was no longer sold
But he's not quite ready to fold
For granddaughter he gets to hold
Not good but truth be bold
Till he noted his fingers got cold
Reynaud's phenomenon he was told
On old age he was no longer sold
But he's not quite ready to fold
For granddaughter he gets to hold
On Being A Grandfather
With age sets in the pain
Though awareness we gain
Noting more the hands shake
Advancing on, harder to fake
Stiffness abounds we are aware
I ask if age worth the fare
To respond to the task
I need only ask
Where is the joy that lasts
I say spell grandaughter casts
Though awareness we gain
Noting more the hands shake
Advancing on, harder to fake
Stiffness abounds we are aware
I ask if age worth the fare
To respond to the task
I need only ask
Where is the joy that lasts
I say spell grandaughter casts
Age and Desire
Hormonal desire to rule
In quest to make the fool
Age heals it a bit and so
Away with the desire we go
Not really all gone
But begets the yawn
In quest to make the fool
Age heals it a bit and so
Away with the desire we go
Not really all gone
But begets the yawn
The Jew Returns
Oh Lord Oh god what hast thou done
Thou cast us back to a land unwon
Some 2000 years ye sent us away
To lands so far without hope or sway
Now we are back to claim the soil
But presaged only with agony and toil
The land we knew as once as ours
We now oppress, the Arab cowers
Oh Lord God what mirth hath ye played
Hath 2000 years misery not thy hand stayed
Thy cruelty continues not impaired
To return us a land not to be shared
For hatred and violence can only ensue
But ye taketh that upheaval your just due
Both Arab and Jew our cause is just
But neither prevail as your plan a must
Thy cruelty endures, knows no bounds
Ye satisfy only with anguished sounds
Thou cast us back to a land unwon
Some 2000 years ye sent us away
To lands so far without hope or sway
Now we are back to claim the soil
But presaged only with agony and toil
The land we knew as once as ours

On Thoughts
The words they abound
And in my head go round
They capture my mind
No choice but to find
To make them float free
In truth what needs be
They swirl in my head
Might better to be read
For not to be read
They will simply go dead
And in my head go round
They capture my mind
No choice but to find
To make them float free
In truth what needs be
They swirl in my head
Might better to be read
For not to be read
They will simply go dead
On Dreaming
In sleep we dream a world apart
Strange happenings invade to take to heart
Where comes these things we are left to ask
Ah, just to know becomes a solitary task
We cry we tear we anguish and moan
To know for certain down deep we are alone
Comes the morn we hasten awake with relief
But desire to enter again beyond belief
Though frightening the landscape can often be
Its a world of our own with no one to see
Strange happenings invade to take to heart
Where comes these things we are left to ask
Ah, just to know becomes a solitary task
We cry we tear we anguish and moan
To know for certain down deep we are alone
Comes the morn we hasten awake with relief
But desire to enter again beyond belief
Though frightening the landscape can often be
Its a world of our own with no one to see
Aging and expression
Oh aged bones I hear thy creak
With such loudness do ye speak
But time I've not for thy chatter
For my soul ye cannot tatter
Though ye come to inflict thy pain
With it comes the words to gain
Depths of my soul can now be reached
Far down whence it not be breached
In blessed repose now comes the thought
In joy and bliss ti's more than sought
With such loudness do ye speak
But time I've not for thy chatter
For my soul ye cannot tatter
Though ye come to inflict thy pain
With it comes the words to gain
Depths of my soul can now be reached
Far down whence it not be breached
In blessed repose now comes the thought
In joy and bliss ti's more than sought
On Being A Father
Oh pretty lady with my words as you will
For daughter has judged them and spoke not ill
To gain her approval can be but a dream
But words to move her are now as they seem
T'is much for her my soul seeks free
In blessed relief the words come to me
Oh darkness I beg away a while
Time needed to put away the guile
For in this world I am needed still
For another's needs remain to fill
For daughter has judged them and spoke not ill
To gain her approval can be but a dream
But words to move her are now as they seem
T'is much for her my soul seeks free
In blessed relief the words come to me
Oh darkness I beg away a while
Time needed to put away the guile
For in this world I am needed still
For another's needs remain to fill

Marv's Poems and Musings
The poems they seem to keep coming
What to with them is troubling
Though I fear for all to see
I trust only Pam with key

More on aging
Seventy five years have I past
Know not how much more I can last
The muscles flex not so
And soon the joints to go
The hearing is at a loss
Understanding is now a toss
The blood flows thin
And coldness sets in
Heat of summer takes its toll
In extreme to try the soul
But still there are heart strings to tug
When from a granddaughter comes a hug
